Founded and endowed by local textile manufacturer George Maxwell in 1893, Rockville Public Library is
a privately owned non-profit 501(c)3 library serving the entire town of Vernon, CT. Two-thirds of the library's
operating costs are paid through the endowment left by the Maxwell family and by library fundraising. The
remaining third is paid through the Town of Vernon.

The library will be closed from December 24-December 28 for the holidays.
We will reopen on Monday December 29. The bookdrop will be open for
returns while we are closed.

Just a reminder, when Vernon schools are closed for weather issues,
we will also be closed. Please watch Channels 3 or 30 for Weather related
closings.
