Originally a pasture, Talcott Park was developed as a city park during the 1860s and 1870s. The park is surrounded by elegant homes built for Rockville’s mill owners, business leaders and doctors. Join Jean Luddy, Museum Director for Vernon Historical Society, for a walking tour to hear the stories of residents over the years and see the variety of architectural styles that reflect Rockville’s prosperity as a 19th century textile city.
Participants meet on the library’s front steps.
Rain date: Sunday, 5/16.
Registration is required and participants must social distance during the program.
